MUSIC + MASTERCLASS

Making music is the true road to enjoy live music

When COVID hit us, I quickly realised that the only certain way to enjoy live music is to make it yourself. Hence, I developed this Masterclass for beginning to intermediate musicians to advance their playing and to help prepare themselves to play with others.

This 4-hour long Masterclass sits right in between a live performance and a workshop in which we will touch upon finding your sound & capturing it. We discover the power of looping & get creative in song writing. I'll help you to start jamming with yourself to help master your instrument and prepare you for playing with others. I'll perform many of my own songs and show you the creative process of creating them. Ultimately, we will create & record a song together on the fly. No need to prepare, just bring some inspiration & enjoy!

Is this Masterclass suitable for me?

BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE FOCUS

I created this Masterclass with the beginner to intermediate player in mind. I am aiming to bring inspiration to help boost your playing skills, jamming skills, songwriting and recording skills. To help you advance your playing by practising live music by yourself. Most of all, I aspire for it to be a fun and musically rich Masterclass full of live music, many of which written by myself.

Do I need to prepare?

NO PREPARATIONS REQUIRED

No. Just come as you are and enjoy the day together. There will be room for Q&A's and you may wish to give creative input in the collective songwriting section of the Masterclass, but this is optional. No pressure, just pleasure. If anything, you may wish to prepare some questions or book a table for lunch or dinner at Baringo.

How long does it last?

4-5 HOURS INCLUDING BREAKS

I have aimed to create 3-4 hours worth of songs and content to get the maximum out of the day together. I am assuming that you will be fulfilled & saturated by the end of it and hoping that I still have some energy to pack down :-).

What are the costs & terms?

125 AUD INCLUDING ALL FEES

The price for this Masterclass is 125 AUD including GST & all fees. Ticketing is via TryBooking and/or Eventbrite, as these are the safest and most user friendly booking systems in my experience. In the booking process I will ask you a few basic questions to best tailor the Masterclass to your musical context.

MASTERCLASS LOCATION

The Masterclass takes place in Baringo's cosy 30 seat cinema in the beautiful Macedon Ranges. Baringo is within easy reach from Melbourne and located right next to Gisborne train station. The travel time from Melbourne Southern Cross is less than 1 hour by train and 50 minutes by car. If you wish to combine a lunch or dinner with the workshop, check out the menus here. It is recommended to make a reservation for this popular bar & bistro.

UNIQUE AMBIENCE

Small and spacious. The 30 seat cinema is a perfect location for a Masterclass. Big enough to make a noise, small enough to be connected. And with COVID in mind, we can adjust the Masterclass capacity between 10 and 30 participants should the need arise. Just relax, grab a drink and enjoy the musical journey.
